Microoptics
To
date, the use of spectrometric methods has due to their complexity been
restricted to the laboratory.
Using LIGA technology, Karlsruhe Research Center has developed
the world’s smallest diffraction spectrometer and licensed it to Boehringer
Ingelheim microParts.
The monolithic integration ensures maximum functional reliability
as well as resistance to external influences. Using micro-injection molding,
large quantities of uniform high quality spectrometers can be produced
cost-effectively. With their compact dimensions and robustness these
microspectrometers are ideal for use in mobile measuring and diagnostic
equipment.
Microspectrometers
Innovative design as a monolithic structure and extremely precise
mass production of microspectrometers form the basis for excellent technical
properties at a favorable price. Based on microspectrometers, customer-specific
solutions are developed, e.g. for fast, parallel analysis of microtiter plates.
Special features:
-
monolithic design with no moving parts
-
excellent resistance to thermal and mechanical influences
-
wide range of applications thanks to the small dimensions and
low costs
-
flexible light coupling via glass fibers
-
high sensitivity and optimized scattered light suppression
allow a large dynamic range of 10.000 : 1
